We are finding this .pst we generate is the new Unicode format and all of our Outlook clients are 2002 (outlook XP). Outlook XP only works with the old ANSI format. We are looking for a way that kernel can generate the .pst in the old ANSI format for outlook XP. Is there a way to make the .pst files in ANSI format?
Thanks!

Hi,
While performing the migration from lotus notes to outlook with Kernel tools, you remain assured that Kernel software will create the PST file which will have the selected migrated items from .NSF file.
To open PST file and view the contents, the host PC should have MS Outlook installed and configured with user profile. If outlook do not exists then you cannot open the PST file and software will too display error message of
"outlook not found"
To create a dummy user profile in MS Outlook, visit this link

As for viewing UNICODE PST file with outlook 2002 which supports ANSI format, you need to follow these steps:
1. Start Outlook 2003
2. From the File menu, select the Data File Management option and click Add
3. Select the Outlook 97-2002 Personal Folders File (PST). Click OK
4. Click OK to accept the default name and then click OK again. This step will create a compatible .PST file in Outlook 2003.
5. Click Close.
6. Open the Folder List to view the new .PST file.
7. Drag the contents from the existing Outlook 2003 .PST file into the compatible .PST file.
hope it helps you out...
